About the Author
Richard Heckler, a fourth degree black belt in aikido, holds a Ph.D. in psychology. He is a founding member of the Lomi School and Tamalpais Aikido Dojo in northern California. A pioneer in the theraputic use of aikido, bodywork and meditative disciplines, he has worked with emotionally disturbed children, inner-city gangs, professional athletes, the Army Special Forces, and the Navy S.EA.L.S. He is the author of two previous books, Aikido and the New Warrior and In Search of the Warrior Spirit.
